Our tennis program is led by Head Tennis Pro Dariusz Kozak, a Canadian National Master’s Champion, and Assistant Tennis Pro Andrzej Zaleski, both Tennis Canada certified professionals. Between the two of them, they have over 50 years of training experience.

Tennis Rules
On the tennis courts, members and guests of all ages must wear all white clothing, specifically designed for athletic activity. A maximum colour trim of 10% is permitted on each clothing item and shoes. Warm-up clothing, hats and visors, socks, visible undergarments and nonmedical accessories such as headbands or wristbands worn on the courts must also be white. Medical accessories such as knee braces are exempt from this rule.
Only white athletic shirts specifically designed for tennis are permitted; collars are optional. Men’s and boys’ shirts must have sleeves.
The only footwear permitted on the courts are primarily white tennis shoes specific for play on clay/soft courts. Players leaving the tennis courts are asked to wipe their shoes using the tennis shoe cleaners provided.
It is the members’ responsibility to ensure that their guests are aware of and observe the dress codes while enjoying the Club.
Courts are booked on a first come, first serve basis at the pro shop. A court may only be booked when all players are on the Club premises. Up to ten (10) minutes is allowed for changing into tennis attire.
- Singles: 45 minutes
- Doubles: 60 minutes
- Three (3) people: 45 minutes (if a 4th player joins later, the 45-minute court booking remains in effect. After 45 minutes, players must rebook.)
All players' names, including guests' names (with the letter ‘G’ next to their name), and the start time must be CLEARLY indicated on the sign up sheet.
Juniors:
If all players on the court are Junior, they must book court 4, 5 or 6 and mark a ‘J’ next to their names (see the Junior Privileges).
A court may only be booked for the next time period immediately available (i.e. you may not reserve a court for later in the day).
No player can book a subsequent court until his/her time has expired on the current court booked.
No courts in use may be booked, regardless of time expiration, if an empty court is available for the full period. EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE: If court maintenance is to commence in forty (40) minutes or less (in the case of singles), or fifty-five (55) minutes or less (in the case of doubles), these courts are considered unavailable, and players may book courts in use.
A player may practice serves only on an upper court, as long as a court is empty. They may not book the court nor bump players off.
The pro shop may reserve courts for the following activities:
Mondays through Fridays from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. when the courts are reserved for play for Senior Members Noontime Doubles
Club organized round robins, clinics, and camps.
Inter-Club Matches or Club Tournaments (Club Tournament Matches may be reserved in advance, but cannot be booked on Monday or Wednesday evenings between 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
Members may reserve courts for Club-run tennis tournament matches (outside of Monday and Wednesday evenings between 17:30 and 20:00).
Court 6 is reserved for use of the Club Professional. However, if the court is vacant, it may be used, subject to the other booking rules listed above, and the arrival of the Club Professional.
Players are asked to be courteous towards fellow players, and not interrupt games to retrieve balls, enter or exit the courts.
They should not ‘chase down’ stray balls onto adjoining courts but should ask that the balls be returned. Players should promptly return a ball belonging to an adjoining court.
Only three balls are allowed on the court to play with. The exception is when the Club pros are giving lessons, clinics, or training or when a single player is practicing serves.
Balls should be returned to the sign-up area or pro shop for the next players.
Our tennis courts are lit for evening play and the lights will automatically be shut off at 22:00 Monday to Saturdays and 18:00 on Sundays.
